My best advice for finding a companion

Writer: Sophie StephensSophie Stephens

Worried about finding a companion? It's a bit of a minefield out there, so a bit of guidance never hurts. This is all about being sensible and safe, no judging here.

A Bit of Sleuthing:

Think of it like online dating, but a bit more direct. Have a good look at profiles, see what's on offer, and check out any reviews if you can find them. If something seems dodgy, best give it a wide berth. The same goes for if something looks ‘too good to be true’. But try not to be over-cautious as that can ruin the whole vibe altogether. Keep a sensible head.

Let's Talk Brass Tacks:

Don't be shy about getting the practicalities sorted upfront. What are you looking for? (vaguely – No one needs reams and reams of pornographic text at 9am) What are your limits? And, of course, the financial side of things. No one wants a nasty surprise later on. A bit of awkwardness now is better than a whole lot of awkwardness during a session.

Safety First, Fun Second:

This is non-negotiable. Be safe, be smart. If it's a private place, make sure it's somewhere you feel safe. And, naturally, protection is a must. No excuses.

Do You Click? (Chemistry Matters, You Know):

A bit of rapport can make all the difference. Are you having a laugh? Do you feel comfortable? Are you making your companion feel comfortable? Just some food for thought.

Respect is Key:

Even though it's a business arrangement, basic human decency is essential. Treat your companion with respect, and hopefully, they'll do the same. And remember, consent is everything. No means no, simples.

The Aftermath (Whenever You Decide to Head Off):

Keep it classy and low-key. Whether you fancy a bit of a debrief about last night's telly or make a quick getaway, do it with a bit of grace. A simple good-bye usually suffices and some shared kind words.

The Bottom Line:

Finding a companion should be a good experience, not a faff. Do your research, communicate clearly, keep safety in mind, and trust your gut feeling. And remember, you are there to (hopefully) have a fantastic time!
